Migraine Grid is operated by Odiono Ltd (“Odiono”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales at 20-22 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU, United Kingdom.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the Migraine Grid iOS app (the “App”), why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.

1. Information we collect

Account information

Email address, used to create and manage your account, and to communicate with you about your subscription.

Health information

Migraine Grid is a health-tracking app. To provide its core features, we collect the migraine information you choose to log, including:

• Pain level, start and end time, and duration of each migraine
• Symptoms you record (e.g. nausea, light sensitivity, aura)
• Triggers you record, including any custom triggers you create
• Where the pain occurred, if you record this using the pain location diagram
• Medications and relief methods you log, including dose and how effective they were
• Any custom medications or relief methods you add

This is health data. We only use it to show you your own migraine history, patterns, and insights, and to generate reports for your own use — never to diagnose, treat, or provide medical advice, and never for advertising.

Subscription and payment information

Subscription status, plan and renewal dates, processed through Apple’s App Store and our subscription management provider (RevenueCat). We do not see or store your card details — these are handled directly by Apple.

Device and usage information

Device type, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and general usage data (e.g. screens visited, features used), to help us fix bugs and improve the App.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Provide the App’s core features, including logging, insights, and pattern detection
• Generate PDF reports of your migraine history, at your request
• Process and manage your subscription
• Understand how the App is used so we can improve it
• Communicate with you about your account or important changes to the App
• Comply with our legal obligations

3. Our legal basis for processing (UK/EU users)

Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on:

• Explicit consent — for your health data (migraine logs, symptoms, triggers, medications, and relief methods), given when you create an account and begin using the App
• Contract — to provide the App’s features and manage your subscription
• Legitimate interests — to maintain, secure and improve the App
• Legal obligation — where we’re required to keep or disclose information by law

You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account in Settings, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

4. Who we share information with

We share information with the following third parties, only as needed to operate the App:

• Apple Inc. — to process App Store purchases
• RevenueCat — to manage and validate subscriptions across devices
• Supabase — our backend database and authentication provider, which stores your account and migraine data securely

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your health data with advertisers.

PDF reports generated within the App are created and shared entirely on your device — using your device’s native share options (such as Mail, Messages, AirDrop, or saving to Files). We do not receive, store, or have access to any report you generate or share.

5. International data transfers

Some of the providers listed above may store or process data outside the UK or European Economic Area. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect your information.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active, or as long as needed to provide the App’s features.

If you delete your account (available in the App under Profile → Delete account), your account and all associated migraine data are deleted immediately from our active database. Residual copies may persist briefly in backups for disaster-recovery purposes before being permanently purged.

7. Your rights

If UK or EU data protection law applies to you, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Restrict or object to certain processing
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time

To exercise any of these rights, email us at migrainegridapp@gmail.com. You can also delete your account and associated data directly within the App, under Profile → Delete account.

If you’re not satisfied with how we’ve handled your request, you have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority.

8. Children’s privacy

Migraine Grid is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll notify you in the App or by email before they take effect.
